NASB | 1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:1 ¶ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God's love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. |
Bible Question:
Something which is common in this forum really irritates me, and I feel I must speak out. Let's have some respect, here. Not only is it a gramatical error, but it is disrespectful to God to write His Name and His Son's Name with lower case letters! Even the Holy Spirit gets this treatment. It is simply a matter of laziness. Let's get with it, and show some respect! Janae. |
Bible Answer: Dear sister, I hear you loud and clear. We need to keep each other sharp, I can agree with you on that. But we gotta have a 1 Cor 13 heart and show our brothers and sisters a little mercy and compassion. God only knows he's shown me more than I deserve. My spelling at oft times can leave much to be desired. I'm learning. Jesus called the pharisee's out because they had ignored the important things. They were being religious and not acting out of a heart for God. Do we call each other higher? Absolutely.Look at the heart behind things though. When we dont we miss the whole ball of wax. God wants to bless us,but we need to ensure that our hearts are where they aught to be. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |
