AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:1 ¶ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God's love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. |
Bible Question: Just wanted to say that I think the church should stop blaming Marylin Manson for bad things. The church created Marylin Manson by throwing un-christian attitudes in his face. The church should lOVE Manson and welcome him back into the Christian community. |
Bible Answer: Henry, I'm not sure what prompts your observation. Maybe you could enlighten us as to how "the church should stop blaming Marylin Manson for bad things" and how "The church created Marylin Manson"? James 1:14 and 15 tells us: "But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death." My own observation is this: I'm not overly familiar with Manson- and agree that we should hate the sin, but love the sinner. However, what I have seen of him is a vile, evil-demeanored individual who spews trash and hatred. Further, 1 Cor. 5:9 tells us to "...not associate with immoral people." If you feel led to pray for him, by all means do so. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
