AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:1 ¶ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God's love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. |
Subject: Do humans become angels? |
Bible Note: Greetings scotth68! There are several Scriptural references that make a clear distinction between human beings and angels: Psalm 8:5, Heb. 1:14; 2:5,7,9; Rev. 19:10; Heb. 12:22,23; 1 Cor. 6:3; 13:1.. Colossians 1:16 states, "For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him." (NASB) Clearly, Scripture tells us that God created the angels- and He created them as angels. Human beings and angels are portrayed as different classes of beings in the Bible. Nolan |
