Bible Question: what is wrong when you recieve the infilling of the Holy Spirit and speaking in the heavenly language doesnt come out? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... 1 Cor 14:14-15, Eph 6:18, Jude 1:20 ... 1 Cor 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also. Eph 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, smarley, greetings In addtion to what christian7 said ... I have given you a few more verses. Read the context. In the Romans passage, it is the Spirit who groans, not us. Moreover, the Bible doesn't mention a "heavenly language" ... what language do men hear the angels speak (1 Cor 13:1)? I believe their own ... and notice tongues will cease (vs 8) ... that is they will go away, on their own. So if there is a "heavenly language" ... it must change (or has). ... plus, God understands the language you speak. Searcher |
