Bible Question: Please i will like to have an objective biblical analysis of what the Spirit says as to the covering of the head in worship. I need scriptural quotations to back up every argument. Thanks. You may send the reply to my mailing address, mails2spirit@yahoo.com |
Bible Answer: Hello Akongnwi, The only Scripture that speaks about a headcovering is 1 Cor 11:2-16. The apostle Paul is trying to correct problems in their meetings, and he discusses roles (how men and women conduct themselves). He states clearly that man is the head of woman, and to show that role women should have their heads covered. A question which is asked today is this: Should we still practice the headcovering? At the time of Paul's writing there was clear social etiquette about a woman, her hair, and whether the head should be covered. We don't have those some rules in Western culture. I believe that women should practice headcovering in worship. Steve |
