AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 1:2 ¶ To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified (set apart, made holy) in Christ Jesus, who are selected and called as saints (God's people), together with all those who in every place call on and honor the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours: |
Bible Question:
When will we become New Testament Saints for God through Christ Jesus Our Lord and Savior? Based upon the Book of Acts. |
Bible Answer: Dear wisdom, When one receives Christ as their Lord and savior they are Biblically a "saint". We are already saints according to 1 Cor. 1:2: "To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours." Many of Paul's salutory comments acknowledge this (Rom. 1:7, 1 Cor. 1:2, 2 Cor. 1:1, Eph. 1:1, etc.). Galatians does not. Based upon the Book of Acts, I can find 4 references: Acts 9:13, 32, 41 and 26:10. I trust this will help, BradK |
