AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 8:26 ¶ In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. |

Bible Note: Paul had more to say on this in other parts of the New Testament. Since Paul said in 1 Cor 14 that he prayed in the spirit when he prayed in tongues it stands to reason that one of the ways that the Spirit intercedes for us is when we are praying in tongues which is a gift of the Holy Spirit made available to all believers...Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; ..... so when a believer prays in the spirit as Paul did and as Jesus said all could and as the christians that were saved in the book of acts did it does then apply to this verse that when the believer is praying in the Spirit in tongues that if the Spirit intercedes for us at any other time He certainly is doing it when we pray in tongues as well. |
