Bible Note: Don't deceived by those with spiritual powers which are NOT from Jesus Christ. Leviticus 19:31 "Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God." Deuteronomy 18:9-12 "When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices withchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell or a medium , or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord an because of these detestable things..." The glory of God does not necessarily come from signs and wonders but manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Our Christian focus should be on the new life in Christ" Galatians 519-25. "..now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immoorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes dissnesionsl factions envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such tings will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another." |
