NASB | Romans 6:10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 6:10 For the death that He died, He died to sin [ending its power and paying the sinner's debt] once and for all; and the life that He lives, He lives to [glorify] God [in unbroken fellowship with Him]. |
Bible Question:
Is the 'once for all' meaning, once for all people, once for all time, both of these, or something different again? Thanks |
Bible Answer: The death of the infinate, has more power than the sins of the finite. This death therefore does not need to be repeated, once is enough. |
