Bible Question (short): How can we love the unloveable?? |
Question (full): How can we love some who are so difficult to love? The love which a believer has presently in their hearts is God's love which has "been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit" In other words those who have trusted Christ their hearts are overflowing with the love of God. When I am saved and see my neighbour as God sees him, it is his love within my heart which makes it possible to love my neighbour as myself. Do you not think that Gods love is pure and is connected with his light. His love does not overlook sin, but rather exposes it. Was it not his in his love by his spirit he revealled to us our sinful condition and yet by his grace revealed to us how we can be forgiven forever and made clean in his sight. If I truly love my neighbour, I will be kind, giving, sensitive and faithful as to the truth of God. How can I say I love my neighbour and as his fellow traveller to eternity never tell him of the sinner's need and of the saviour's sacrifice for sin on Calvary? |
