Bible Question (short): Did The Law Increase Sin? |
Question (full): Does this verse seem to suggest that the purpose of the Law of God, given to Moses for the people of Israel, was to increase human sinfulness? Is it possible that the God revealed in our Lord Jesus Christ deliberately acted in such a way that sin increased? Doesn't the revelation of God, from Genesis to Revelation, tell about a God who seeks to bring His lost and fallen creation back into restored relationship with Himself? ... Is there a contradiction?
