Bible Question:
Thank you Searcher, How do the works of Abraham accompany salvation as in Hebrews 6:10 and James 2:1-17 which is "ministering to the saints"? |
Bible Answer: M.Royal, Hebrews 6:10 and James 2:1-17, as well as other passages show that our works is because we are saved. If we did the same works before we were saved, they would be worthless. Even so, our works after we are saved does not negate nor add to our salavtion ... it just proves it. There are many who need a new heart. Many don't have much life - they can't do much. The heart they get is free (the doctors and hospital may charge a fee) and someone needs to die for them to get a heart transplant. After they get a new heart, they need to give their heart a workout ... works that accompany the change in life. It proves they have a new heart. If they don't people will wonder if they had a heart transplant. Searcher |
