Bible Question:
... even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified. What does "no flesh will be justified " mean? |
Bible Answer: Dear US8899, The law has no power to save. All it can do is convict. It shows us what we deserve. When Paul uses this expression, he means simply that no one will be saved by trying to be obedient to the law. Salvation is a matter of grace. Grace is never something that is deserved or earned. If people deserve a thing, then, by definition, it is no longer grace. In Him, Doc |
