NASB | Romans 3:20 because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:20 For no person will be justified [freed of guilt and declared righteous] in His sight by [trying to do] the works of the Law. For through the Law we become conscious of sin [and the recognition of sin directs us toward repentance, but provides no remedy for sin]. |
Bible Question: I've heard that we don't follow the 10 Commandments anymore, instead we follow a "Moral Law". If we don't follow God's Morals than whose morals do we follow? |
Bible Answer: we are not bound by the law, say sacrifices and most festivals that pointed to the coming of Christ. If we still follow these laws we wouldn't believe Jesus has came already but we would believe that Jesus still needed to come. Are still supposed to follow the 10 Commandments (God's Moral Law). Many will say that we don't have to anymore but the bible tells otherwise (Matthew 5:17-20; Romans 3:31; 1 John 2:3-4; 5:2-3; Revelation 12:17) and the list goes on and on. Many people don't want to listen to God they don't want to follow his commandments even though most Christians already are following the commandments. Eg. they would never steal anything, they would never kill anyone; yet pastors say it is impossible to follow the commandments. Yah Right! |
