Bible Question:
Are the unevangelized people really lost? |
Bible Answer: We know from Romans that everyone has sinned. We know from the Bible that sin breaks our relationship with God. We know that Jesus' last words were to make disciples--the Great Commission to evangelize the world. If the unevangelized are not lost, then Jesus was crazy for commanding His church to tell the lost about Him, because telling lost people about Him would suddenly make them accountable and, therefore, lost. God wants all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. The Great Commission in Matthew 28 is the church's great duty. We must re-realize that the unevangelized are lost and destined for hell. That makes evangelism of everyone--the tribal cheif in Africa to your next door neighber--all the more urgent. God loves people and as the church we must love people enough to tell them the good news that Jesus saves. Hope this helps. |
