Bible Question: In Corinthians 5 Paul says that we should judge those in our own fellowship... but in Romans 14 he says that you should not judge others at all... ???? can someone explain this for me???? |
Bible Answer: Julabbie, In 1 Cor 5:5 Paul is talking about someone who has taken his fathers wife. We are to deliver this one to satan that in hope that this person will see his evil ways and come back to the Lord.(acts 26:18,1Tim1:20) will also help.In Romans 14 :10-Christians are not to JUDGE each other with reference to the practice of morally neutral issues(see vv.3,4), since each individial is responsible to God(see v12). As Lord (v9) the right of such judgement belongs to Christ. Weak and strong Christians alike SHALL ALL STAND, not at each others judgement seat, but BEFORE THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST.(2 Cor 5:10) |
