Romans 13:3 For [civil] authorities are not a source of fear for [people of] good behavior, but for [those who do] evil. Do you want to be unafraid of authority? Do what is good and you will receive approval and commendation. |
Bible Question:
In Romans 13, Paul says that the government doesn’t punish the good, but many Christians were persecuted by Rome. How is this resolved? Thanks, Ryan |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Mat 5:10-13, Rom 13:1ff ........... That was Paul's (and more our Lord's point) in this passage, we should not disobey the government to avoid persecution. |
