Bible Question: what is the meaning of life |
Bible Answer: The Meaning of Life According to the scripture, Life is given to man by God to accomplish His purposes and to bring about His plans. Phil. 2:13 ESV “for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Romans 1:36 ESV “For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” Acts 17:28 ESV “In him we live and move and have our being” Job 12:10 ESV “In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.” Revelation 4:11 ESV “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Psalm 150:6 ESV “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!” Ultimately, we exist as created beings in order to give glory and bring honor to our Creator. Life without and apart from Jesus Christ is as meaningless and futile as a car without a road and a road without a destination. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6 ESV), and “apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 ESV). Also, Jesus said, “You must be born again” (John 3:7 ESV). To really “live”, natural life must be supplemented and augmented with spiritual life. Else, life has no meaning. Maybe this begins to answer the question…. In Christ, tdc |
