Bible Question:
So are you saying that I can receive Christ and then live however I want to live....I can still live the life of sin but yet go to Heaven? That is unbelievable but would explain why so many people fornicate, commit adultry, beat their kids, and wives and further more, are just simply not submitted to Christ but believe that since that have once received Christ, they have assurance of Eternal Life. I am really confused now. |
Bible Answer: Good day to you cleo! All praise and glory and honor be to God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ to Whom all pawer has been given in Heaven and on earth! Sorry for the interuption here but, Hey, COOL IT! jjp is trying to help as many others are that are part of this forum. Here are some scpritures for you: Matt 19:18 Then he *said to Him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS; Matt 19:19 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Rom 6:2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Rom 6:14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Rom 6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! Rom 6:16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? Rom 8:10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Rom 8:12 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- Rom 8:13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Rom 8:14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Gal 5:19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, Gal 5:21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Gal 5:23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. My Jesus bless and keep you! In Christ's Love, Cyclist |
