Subject: Word of Christ? |
Bible Note: Hi fborn, The corrections already given to you are indeed words of wisdom. Your theories are not in line with scripture. 1. God did not make Emmanuel, Jesus Christ was begotten, not made!(John 1:14); 2. You postulate that (Christ) he(sic) is not the Lord God? Thomas certainly must have been in error then when he exclaimed in John 20:28, "My Lord and my God". Acts 2:36 declares, "...that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." 3. In Colossians 1:16 we are told, "by Him (Christ) all things were created..." Further, in verse 18 it is said, "...that in all things He may have ther preeminence". This is the only time scripture uses this term, and it is directed toward Christ. I'm afraid that making Christ simply an idol would be to neglect who He really is - and claimed to be. We do not make Christ an Idol, we worship Him as Lord and Savior! That is why God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:9-11) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
