Bible Question: Where in the NT does it talk about children will go to heaven if they die before age of accountabilty? |
Bible Answer: Hi, I am new to the forum, but I felt to offer input and possibly help you reah the answer your question. While, as others have told you, there is a lack of direct wording to say "children go to heaven", we should keep one major concept in mind. Psalm 19:13 says "Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression". **willful** If it is willful sin, ie, you sinned and you knew it was sin-then you have to account for it. The idea that a child goes to heaven springs from this. A child under the age of accountability isn't capable of understanding what he/she is doing so wrong. I will close with this scripture to back up what i have just said James 4:17 "Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins." |
