Bible Question:
I am doing a study on the word REPROBATE. I am interested in understanding its Full and indepth meaning along with the spiritual ramifications. Was Nebuchadnezzar, a reprobate, when he was in his sin...? Others? Thank You Ginger G |
Bible Answer: Word Study ... ma'ac, adokimos .............. God's day to you, Ginger G, The Hebrew word is ma'ac which means - to reject, despise, refuse - to flow, run ... KJV translates it reprobate once (Jer 6:30). The Greek word is adokimos which means means - not standing the test, not approved ...properly used of metals and coins - that which does not prove itself such as it ought ... unfit for, unproved, spurious, reprobate ... KJV translates it reprobate thrice (Rom 1:28, 2Ti 3:8, Tit 1:16). Study the context of these verses to gain beter insight. I used http://bible.crosswalk.com for this information. Searcher |
