AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. [Ps 19:1-4; Eph 2:10] |
Bible Question:
This is my first question on this forum, and I'm a little skeptical, but I'm going to pose it anyway. The bible says that a true Christian is to be sent to preach the Gospel to the lost, and without that person being sent there is no hope for the lost because all lost souls need to hear the Word from a true Christian. So, my question is, one, how is a person to be saved if they have never heard the gospel from a true Christian? And two, How do I know if that person really is sent, or if they are sent from the evil one and are just posing as servants of the light? |
Bible Answer: When we look into scripture we find good and wholesome answers from God. For instance Paul Declares in Romans That we dont need to hear the Gospel to know there is a God, for everything created bears witness to this very Fact. Romans 1:20-21 (KJV) 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Also in Psalms David Declares Gods Handywork and Glory can be seen in the Heavens, not only that but spiritually we can understand regardless of Language or back ground. Psalms 19:1-4 (KJV) 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, The problem lays within the man its not Gods responsibility to Save man, but its mans responsibility to respond to God when he bares witness to Gods creation. But men dont because of their sin ful ways and deeds they choose not to aknowledge God. In other words God gives us light to respond to (understanding) but we choose darkness rather than light. Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Ok so what about the Man on an island, this same answer suffices, but we have even another referance. We have an answer in Acts that states that God determines where men and when men shall live, and because he knows their hearts before hand He also knows who will respond and who won't so He places us accordingly. As in Nothing happens by chance. When we hear the gospel and respond, its a devinely set appointment not of our doing but of the Lords. When we respond to the light given us, He will send more light. I was taught by Vernon McGee some important memory examples which I will give you now. Romans chp 1. The Light of Creation. Romans chp 2. The Light of conciousness. Romans chp 3. The Light of the world. Acts 17:26-27 (KJV) 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Love in Christ Jesus RC |
