AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. Bible Question:
Genesis 9:5-23 Is sin a sin if you don't know you are sining? Before Moses, before Jesus, before teachers, before God's word came to the masses, how did the people know what sin was? The children are free from sin until the age of understanding. But God destroyed all humans but Noah's family. The same with Lot's burden. All were destroyed, even the youngest children. Can anyone really explain this contridiction? |
Bible Answer: Hi, JB... Welcome to the forum! Because of Genesis 6:5, clearly there is sin without the law. Noah was included in this mess. However, God chose Noah through no merit of his own. That's what mercy and grace are all about. The first three chapters of Romans explains to us the universality of sin. We actually do not find an "age of accountability" in the Scriptures. Instead, what we are told, is that the sin nature of Adam is inherited by everyone descended from him. In Him, Doc |
