Bible Question: Today in msn groups there have been many controversies among Christians as to we serve a good God who does not have anything to do with floods that kill people, hurricanes, or earthquakes or big waves that kill thousands. Some have gotten very heated and so I began to study "WHAT" has happened in our world to reverential fear of God and HIS holiness, His words HE spoke as some casually call him the big daddy or big guy in the sky or call him father when they do not know him as father? There is a lack of reverence in sanctuaries and very little trembling in God's presence, so as a result, people think God has absolutely nothing to do with what is happening in our world today. Were we not warned that perilous times would come? Have we not read HOW God spoke? His word says, God has HIS way in the whirlwind and the storm and the clouds are the dust of HIS feet, waves rise at HIS command, He is God people and nothing on this earth happens without HIS knowledge. Why is there such fighting among religious people about the "goodness" or badness of blaming God for calamities of nature? Why do people insist on saying "that is not God?" I have been sharing God's words and saying to folks that God needs to hear us cry out and say,,,Lord God if there be one...just one who is righteous, save them, instead of walking without knowledge of the Holiness and reverential fear of God regarding HIS being God and we are to intercede and maybe He will show mercy but to realize that we are in the last days where there are troubles on all sides and we need to really be aware of Gods HOLINESS. |
Bible Answer: Dear Joy, According to the Word, is not a matter of ignorance, it is a moral choice. The arguments stem from a similar source (see James 4:1-6). The real problem is that these same issues reside in your heart and my heart. In Him, Doc |
