Bible Question: In Acts 8, was Simon truly saved? |
Bible Answer: Verse Acts 8:13 says Simon believed and was baptized. Since man's heart can only be seen by God nothing that occurred outwardly can be definite proof one way or another. So we come back to Simon believed. The word for believe here is the Greek word Pisteuo. Which is more power than just believing in something, it means you have become dependant on what you believe. Most people feel this is the type of belief we must have according to John 3:16 for salvation. |
