Bible Question: What does humility mean for a believer? How do we show it, when and where? |
Bible Answer: For the believer it means doing the will of the Lord. As believers, the Lord has instructed us in the ways we as believers should carry ourselves emotionally, physically, and mentally. Some of these ways are not natural to us as individuals, in those instances we must humble ourselves and do as we have been instructed. In some cases, the Lord may be personally instructing us to do something; as humble believers, we do it. Study the word "stiff-necked" (the opposite of humility) throughout the Bible and you might be able to get a clearer understanding of what humility should mean to the believer. |
