Bible Question: why did moses run away from egypt?how did moses' life change? |
Bible Answer: Acts 7:25 "And he supposed that his brethren understood that God was granting them deliverance through him, but they did not understand. Acts 7:26 "On the following day he appeared to them as they were fighting together, and he tried to reconcile them in peace, saying, 'Men, you are brethren, why do you injure one another?' Acts 7:27 "But the one who was injuring his neighbor pushed him away, saying, 'WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND JUDGE OVER US? Acts 7:28 'YOU DO NOT MEAN TO KILL ME AS YOU KILLED THE EGYPTIAN YESTERDAY, DO YOU?' Acts 7:29 "At this remark, MOSES FLED AND BECAME AN ALIEN IN THE LAND OF MIDIAN, where he became the father of two sons. Some would say that Moses fled out of fear, which would be part right. I would say Moses was trying to show Israel God was giving them deliverance, but God was not ready. Which is more powerful a young Moses or an old Moses delivering God's people. If a young Moses would have done it he might have tried to take credit for it. So why did Moses flee: Short answer he was probable afraid. Long answer it was God's providence. |
