AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 4:13 ¶ Now when the men of the Sanhedrin (Jewish High Court) saw the confidence and boldness of Peter and John, and grasped the fact that they were uneducated and untrained [ordinary] men, they were astounded, and began to recognize that they had been with Jesus. |

Bible Note: Hi Makarios, We are rereading or visiting your post because of Mommapbs. We do appreciate your posts through the years. I like the way you and Kalos capitalized "Teacher". John 7:15, "The Jews therefore were marveling, saying, "How has this *Man [see NKJ] become learned, having never been educated?" John 6:63, "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life." I want to thank you for the Scriptures in your other post. I think that we can learn from a comparison of them. John 7:16, "Jesus therefore answered them, and said, "My teaching is not Mine,/ but His who sent Me." Matthew 7:28, "Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them...26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and it fell, and great was its fall." 28 The result was that when Jesus/ had finished these words, the multitudes were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as [one] having authority, and not as their scribes." Jesus came in the likeness of a man [as one having authority] but He was the Son of Man. The Teacher, the Holy Spirit, also reminds us of these things. From the heart, Ray |
