Bible Question: Where did the custom of telling the lost that in order to be saved, one must "accept Christ" originate, when this term is not found in the scriptures in reference to true salvation by God's grace? |
Bible Answer: Good question. Clearly my search in the King James Version New Testament showed only ONE occurence of the word "accept" in the entire N.T. . . . Ac 24:3 (KJV) We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness. . . . Bear in mind that much pop theology is derived from "Christian" music and Christmas cards. Where is it found in the Bible? Well, people don't like to be conufused with all that doctrinal "stuff." |
