Bible Question:
COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THEY HAVE BEEN A WITNESS TO SOMEONE. ALSO WHEN SOMEONE SAYS YOU NEED DELIVERANCE, COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT TO ME TO. THANK YOU SO MUCH - I NEED LOTS OF HELP ALICE |
Bible Answer: Being a witness to someone means that someone has testified to what they have seen and heard. Just like in the judicial system, Witnesses give testimony about what they have seen. In our case, it is to tell someone about our experience in Christ and backing up what we say with the truth (the Bible). If God wills, after we have "witnessed" (planted the seed), the Holy Spirit convicts the person and that person makes a decision for or against Christ. In regards to Deliverance it is normally meant to mean to be "Set Free" of something. Webster's Definition Deliver DELIVER, v.t. [L. Free, disengaged; to free, to peel.] 1. To free; to release, as from restraint; to set at liberty; as, to deliver one from captivity. Or as in the Lord's Prayer "deliver us from evil." I (personally) wouldn't say to someone that they need deliverance but that they need to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour and he will provide deliverance. As for "I need lots of Help: God Love You! We all do. That's why we quote 2Co 2:14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. I hope this has helped. Yours in Christ |
