AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 20:35 "In everything I showed you [by example] that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed [and brings greater joy] to give than to receive.'" |
Subject: Should I or should I not? |
Bible Note: I also believe you should do what is in your heart although, I have something to add. If you felt the need to give to your other brother in Christ then you should give to him regardless of circumstances, it seems to me you put a fleece before God, not so much testing him, I guess but a if you do this for me I will do that for you kind of deal. That is why you are left with questions. If you felt strongly about giving to someone else, go with your instincts and give. Then you should have prayed for the money to be returned/your friend to feel convicted, they should have been two seperate issues. In either case it does sound like the best remedy at all times is prayer. And God will provide for you and your brother in Christ. |
