Bible Note: Hi Raven, I have been exposed to many who share your view. I agree Christ definately commanded the Lords Supper. And following that it seems they did it on the First of the week. But Christ does not command that the Lords supper be done on the first of the week, which is were a lot of other people are coming from on this topic. To say one way or the other is the only way is to add a command that does not exist in the Bible. However, it is very meaningful and I would like to continue in the tradition that the apostles initiated. There is not doubt it has been reduced by some (mostly larger) churches, but I think it is more of a misunderstanding of how important it is, not a blatent show of disobedience. Let me ask you, do you think the Apostles shared the Lords Supper on other days when they met as well? Just curious. Thanks for your input and God be with you. Dan |
