Bible Question: All my life I have heard people say that someone -- friend, relative, minister, etc. -- led them to Christ. In light of Acts 2:39 and other passages, what role does the human agent have in leading the unsaved to Christ? |
Bible Answer: Hank: Rom 10 Today's English Version 13 As the scripture says, "Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved." 14 But how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed? 15 And how can the message be proclaimed if the messengers are not sent out? As the scripture says, "How wonderful is the coming of messengers who bring good news!" 1 Cor 3 New King James Version 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 1 Cor 3:5-6 Today's English Version After all, who is Apollos? And who is Paul? We are simply God's servants, by whom you were led to believe. Each one of us does the work which the Lord gave him to do: I planted the seed, Apollos watered the plant, but it was God who made the plant grow. |
