AMPLIFIED 2015 Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, "Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Bible Question:  Were you aware the founder of the International Church of Christ, Alexander Campbell, NEVER received "baptism for the forgiveness of sins" ... as well as his father, Thomas Campbell.

Bible Answer:  He was the founder of the/a (traditional) church of christ. Kip McKean founded the ICOC. Yes, I have read that. Not sure what that has to do with me though. I do not look up to Campbell or McKean or say Martin Luther for example as some great historical theologian. I do agree with "some" of their ideas on doctrine, etc.
