Bible Note: Yes we are all equal in that God loves us all equally, the gospel is to be preached to all, and we all have the right to accept or reject it. The whole point of that story is "mainly" that up until that time the gospel was only preached to the Jews and now it was open to Gentiles as well. Read the context of the entire story. The jewish christians were really "struggling" with allowing Gentiles into the church. It was a BIG deal. Hence Peter's dream and God doing something really miraculous just like at Pentecost. I asked the question before, did the Holy Spirit save the 12 apostles at Pentecost or were they already saved? Again, Gal. 3:26-27, they were "baptized into Christ". |
