AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, "Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. |
Bible Question: what does baptism reveal to the world? |
Bible Answer: This scripture tells us that baptism is for the forgiveness of sins. Many people say that it is an outward sign of an inward faith, but that answer is no where in scripture. This scripture says it is for forgiveness. Acts 22:16 says it is for the washing away of sin. I hope this very short answer helps. |
