Bible Note: Ray - I wonder why you choose not to capitalize "holy spirit" in 1 Thess 4:7 How can you separate spirit from Spirit - God's Spirit does not change as mine does not (spirit) yet God gives His Holy (or holy, see below) Spirit to me, to dwell in me as a promise of my future redemption! Another consideration ** - 1 Thess 4:7, "For God/ has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. 8 Consequently, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His **holy **Spirit to you. 9 Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by (God) to love one another." 2 Tim 1:14, "Guard, through the **holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you." In both these verses the word holy is used as an adjective, yet we most often capitalize it when we refer to the Spirit of God - if we do this, then through out scripture should we capitalize all adjectives that preceede names of the Godhead? ie Gracious Father, Wise God, Merciful Lord, what about Savior?
