Subject: Religion Unfounded on Theology? |
Bible Note: Well-written! I completely agree, one's Salvation comes from both a heart knowledge AND a head knowledge, the two cannot be separated. If you go only by the former (the feelings), you reduce it to liver-quiver which leads to the constant need to FEEL something. On the other hand, if you have only head knowledge you have no relationship with Christ. Without head knowledge (knowing with the Scriptures say) you cannot be a Berean, i.e. a mature, discerning Christian telling Truth from falsehood. When you love someone you need to both spend time with him AND get to know him. The Scriptures reveal the One we love, His character and faithfulness on every single page. A mature Christian has a hunger to be in and with Him constantly. |
