Bible Question:
Acts 16:37 But Paul said to them, "They have beaten us in public without trial, men who are Romans, and have thrown us into prison; and now are they sending us away secretly? No indeed! But let them come themselves and bring us out." What do you think about this verse when Paul used the Roman authority. Why didn't he just leave, he says, "are they sending us away secretly?", when he left secretly before? Did Paul do domething wrong here? |
Bible Answer: Why would you think Paul might have done something wrong here? What law or principle did he break by invoking his rights as a Roman citizen? Which of the 10 Commandments did he break? |
