Bible Answer: I hope that this answer will help clarify an important point. No one can save another person, only God can do that. I understand this verse to mean that when the jailer was saved, he opened his household to the Word of God. He showed his entire household his compassion for God's servants. He exposed his household to the Word and he set an example whereby they should follow. Please understand that when a person accepts Christ he is saved, and each person in their household must make the same choice(decision) to accept Christ and be saved. Each person is responsible for their choice. |
