Bible Note: Hi Lionheart, Heb 5:8-9 "Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation," The way I read this, Jesus is not the source of eternal salvation to those who do not obey Him, just to those who do. I also was one of those who proclaimed faith but continued to live my own way. Only when I committed myself entirely to Him did I experience a real transformation in my life. Obviously God had His hand on my life from a the beginning, but I only count the beginning of my salvation from when I actually began to serve Him. God bless you my brother! Love in Christ, Mark |
