Bible Question: What was the basis for the disagreement between Paul and Barnabas in Acts 15:38? What resulted after this disagreement? |
Bible Answer: Nolan ... Verse 37 says it was over John Mark. It was beacuse he deserted them in Pamphylia (vs. 38) and it was a sharp disagreement (vs. 39). I think Paul was more focused on missions and those he was a mister to. Barnabas was focused more on the ministers, as he was with Paul (Acts 9:27), when the disciples weren't to sure about Paul (vs. 26). I guess Paul forgot what this man of God did for him. Mark was Barnabas's cousin (Col. 4:10) and later Paul called for him (2Ti. 4:11). Searching Scripture Steve |
