Bible Question (short): Who's at the circumcision debate in Acts |
Question (full): In Acts 15:2, Paul and Barnabas go to Jerusalem to meet with the "apostles and elders about this question" (of circumcision for new Gentile believers). I know that Peter and James are there, but are the other apostles--the remaining 11 who walked with Jesus plus Matthias (Acts 1:26)--in Jerusalem also? Are they the "sect of Pharisees" (Acts 15:5) who rose up and argued that circumcision was necessary? |
