AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 14:19 ¶ But Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium, and having won over the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, thinking he was dead. [2 Cor 11:25; 2 Tim 3:11] |
Bible Question: What does the bible say about near death experiences? |
Bible Answer: I hope I may be forgiven if I disagree with one item in Searcher's list. The men who rose in Matthew 27 did so 'after His resrrection', and not on His death. Nor do I see any grounds for thinking that they did not benefit by His resurrection so as to be permanently raised. My only other criticism would be as to whether the story of the rich man and Lazarus is a parable. Jesus never names people in parables. It is therefore very much open to question. |
