Bible Question:
Do you know what the city of Antioch looked like during when paul lived there? |
Bible Answer: Greetings, Antioch, the third largest city in the province, was a important city of commerce that was located on the Orontes River and was on the east-west highway that ran from Jerusalem to Rome. The city itself, which became a Roman colony in 25 BC, was a city of great splendor and influence. The city could be considered a melting pot. There was a large population of Jews but was also inhabited by Greeks, Romans, Syrians, and possibly others. Hope this helps. prayon |
