Bible Question:
Sabbaths journey.. ok so not even a full day.. I know Sabbath is rested, but trying to figure out how long after the 40 days Christ stayed with after ascension was the Day of Pentecost. Pente, meaning 5.. but 40 plus 5 is 45, and that isn't sitting well in my spirit, that number isn't significant. I mean 50 has PENTE in it... HELP |
Bible Answer: Pentecost was the day after the seventh Sabbath following Passover (Leviticus 23:16) -- 49 plus 1 is 50. A Sabbath's day journey was not to exceed 2,000 cubits. |
