Bible Question:
We all know that tragedy is a fact of life. But many people have difficulties in understanding it, since it is painful. I would like to ask: What is the meaning of tragedy according to the Bible? How does the Bible explain the role and place of tragedy in human life? Even if it has some positive meaning at all, why should that positive meaning be taught to mankind through pain and loss? Thank you! |
Bible Answer: Paul Kallan, We need to let the works of God be displayed in us ... and remember it is for His glory (John 11:4). Study the first couple chapters of Job to see his reaction. He fell prostrate before the One who gave him all that he had, then took it away. We need to worship like that. Steve |
