Bible Question:
OK...we are on the same page. I agree...God has a hand in our creation. When we are formed we are given certain abilities, talents, gifts, etc. to accomplish the purpose God has ordained for us. Now my question is, are our inabilities, inadequacies, deficienties, weaknesses, etc. also given to us? Do they play a part in God's plan? Terry |
Bible Answer: Terry Absolutely God uses our weaknesses 1 Cor. 1:26-31 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; [27] but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, [28] and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, [29] so that no man may boast before God. [30] But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, [31] so that, just as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord." Many times it is our abilites and talents that get in the way. We think we can do it without God. Jesus told us in John 15:5 that we can do nothing without him. "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. You also asked did God create (excuse me had a hand in creating) our weaknesses I submit to you Exodus 4:11 The Lord said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Be Blessed and be a Blessing Ed |
