Bible Question: I'm sorry for my english, I'm Latin american. My question is if we get salvation from God, can we lose it if we go back sinning? thanks. |
Bible Answer: Hi marbella. Thank you for your question, I personally do not believe that a real born again Christian can loose salvation, although I know that others will disagree. There are a number of verses of Scripture that I feel support my viewpoint, just one of which I will quote at this time. John 6:39 "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. Upon reading this verse, I would ask myself, "Is Jesus able to do His Father's will?". The answer would have to be an unequovical "YES".. Note, Jesus does not say, that they might not loose their salvation, but that He might not loose their salvation. I would say therefore that He will not, and because of this, you cannot. OldPilgrim. |
